Astilbe japonica – Peach Blossom

A beloved classic, Astilbe japonica ‘Peach Blossom’ delights with fluffy apricot‑pink plumes rising above glossy, deeply cut fern‑like foliage in midsummer. Compact and elegant, it typically reaches 50–60 cm tall and wide, forming a neat mound ideal for group planting, borders, or shaded containers. Thrives in consistently moist, fertile soils under partial to full shade, and is both deer‑ and rabbit‑resistant while attracting pollinators like bees and butterflies ﹣ plumes are excellent for fresh cutting or drying. Hardy and easy-care, this cultivar has been garden-cherished since its introduction around 1903.
