Astilbe taquettii - Superba

Elegant towers of rosy-mauve plumes bloom on tall, upright stems, rising above a dense mound of glossy, fern-like foliage that emerges mahogany-red before deepening to green. This vigorous Chinese astilbe reaches up to 120 cm tall with a spread around 60–75 cm, making a dramatic statement in late-summer and early-fall shade borders or near water features. One of the latest-flowering astilbes, it's ideal for adding color when many other blooms are fading. Low-maintenance and tolerant of some sun and heat, it's also deer- and rabbit-resistant and excellent for cutting.

  • 1 growing root per pack, 2-3 eyes
  • Rosy-mauve late-summer plumes
  • Lacy, glossy foliage
  • Deer- and rabbit-resistant
