TOP HAT

A uniquely compact and garden‑friendly blueberry, the ‘Top Hat’ cultivar stands out for its dwarf stature, ornamental value and edible rewards. This variety combines the compact height of a low‑bush blueberry with the large fruit size and flavour of a high‑bush type. Ideal for small gardens, patios or container planting, it allows gardeners to enjoy fresh blueberries even in limited space. It produces an abundance of white blossoms in spring, followed by firm, dusky‑blue berries, with foliage that turns striking red in the fall. The first container blueberry! These bushes reach a height of 18 inches with a compact mounded shape. . In late August you will be rewarded with loads of fruit with a wild blueberry flavor.

Sub-standard plant

"I was very disappointed in the quality of one of the two plants I received. For me, this was a second order of Top Hay blueberries. The first order was for me personally and the quality of the plants was very good. My second order, which I picked up in May, was for a blueberry planter for my daughter, and was intended as a gift for her for Mother’s Day. I was extremely disappointed at the condition of one of the plants I received in this order. The plant had only one green stem with leaves and the other stems were small and dry and wizened looking. They could be easily snapped off and looked brittle and dead. I only accepted this plant because I was told it was the last one available from your nursery and no substitutes were available. In order to make up my gift planter for my daughter, I actually had to transplant one of the Top Hat blueberries I had ordered previously, and I kept the unhealthy plant. It s still not doing well. Overall, I was pleased with the order I received the first time, but felt extremely let down by the substandard item I received as part of my second order. If the order could not be fulfilled because one of the plants was a poor specimen, it would still have been better than giving me a plant that was clearly not in optimal health."

Not good

"The plant was in very poor health at pick up. I should have asked for a refund. Within two weeks it was dead. Proper care was given. Definitely would not recommend this purchase."

Greg R. (5/5)

Haven't been able to plant it here yet.

"The blueberry is still hanging on but it has been too cold to plant it so far this year."

Michele C. (4/5)

"The plant survived shipping and is flourishing in My south facing window. Thank you."
