Dicentra spectabilis - Yellow Leaf

Often referred to as 'Gold Heart', this yellow-leaf form of Dicentra spectabilis stands out with radiant chartreuse-gold foliage that glows in shady garden spaces. In spring, it produces classic heart-shaped blooms in rose-pink and white, which arch gracefully on burgundy stems above its vibrant leaves. The 2–3 eye rootstock ensures a reliable early-season flush of growth and flowering. Best grown in part to full shade with moist, humus-rich soil. Deer- and rabbit-resistant and attractive to pollinators, it combines ornamental foliage and bloom in one standout spring perennial.
