Brassica oleracea
This hybrid produces strong and vigorous, reliable plants which, yields high amounts of remarkably sweet and solid, mid-green buttons.
Very good resistance to frost, plants are hardy and stand well in the ground. Suitable for all soil types.
Sow indoors: February to March, in trays of seed compost. Sow thinly and cover with 1.5cm of fine soil. Firm gently and keep moist. Cover tray with glass, polythene or propagator lid. Keep at approx. 13oC. Seedlings should appear in 14-21 days. Remove cover when seedlings appear. Transplant to further trays if necessary. When approx. 10cm tall, stand outside for a few days (avoid frosts). Transplant to April to May to final position with 60cm between plants and rows. Firm in well, keep moist and weed free.
Harvest: December to March.
