Chelone obliqua - Alba
A graceful upright perennial, Chelone obliqua ‘Alba’—also called White Turtlehead—sports striking pure-white, snapdragon-like hooded blooms atop dark green, lance-shaped foliage. Growing 24–36″ (60–90 cm) tall and 18–24″ (45–60 cm) wide, this elegant plant adds vertical and textural drama in moist borders, rain gardens, or near water features. Its long-lasting floral display spans mid-summer into early fall (July to September), making it perfect for cut arrangements. Exceptionally adaptable, deer-resistant, and a magnet for butterflies and hummingbirds, it thrives in full sun to partial shade in zones 3 - 9.
