Bright and bold, the species lily Lilium leichtlinii—often called a “tiger‑lily” type for its rich golden‑yellow blooms and distinctive dark freckling—makes a striking addition to any garden. It features gracefully downward‑facing, strongly recurved petals sprinkled with maroon specks, atop elegant stems reaching ≈ 90‑120 cm (≈ 3‑4 ft) tall in well‑drained, humus‑rich soil.
