What zone is Barrie, Ontario, Canada ? Is crocosmia lucifer winter hardy in Barrie, ON, Canada, or do we have to lift and store these over the winter ? Please & thank you ?: Barrie, Ontario’s plant hardiness zone is 5b. The Crocosmia Lucifer should do fine in that zone. You can always plant them a somewhat protected area and dig them a little deeper, maybe 8”- 10”. Covering them with a layer of mulch for the winter can also work. When in doubt…dig them out. 😊
