GIANT DINNERPLATE - BRIGITTA ALIDA
With its richly saturated, deep burgundy to chocolate-red petals, Dahlia ‘Brigitta Alida’ commands attention as a bold dinner‑plate variety. Its large blooms—reportedly up to 10 in (≈ 25 cm) across—sit on sturdy, upright stems that are well suited for cutting, background planting, or bold contrast in mixed borders. The dramatic color holds well even in brighter light, making it a striking focal point in summer gardens. It performs best in full sun and well‑drained soil, and should be lifted or protected in regions with freezing winters. They should be planted in a soil that is clay, loamy, or sandy; the soil should contain pH properties that fall between being acidic, alkaline, and neutral. They prefer the soil to be kept moist but well drained. You can expect the blooms to form between the start of the summertime and the beginning of autumn. Planting should commence between the early to mid spring. TOXIC TO PETS!
