What you need to know to Plant & Grow:
Eggplants thrive in heat, so they must be started early indoors and transplanted only after the weather is reliably warm.
Sow Indoors: Start seeds indoors 8 to 10 weeks before the last expected frost date. Plant in sterile, high-quality seed-starting mix.
Germination: Seed typically germinates in 7 to 14 days.
Transplanting: Move seedlings outdoors to a location with Full Sun and rich, well-drained soil only when night temperatures consistently remain above 10 degrees Celsius.
