A purple‑stemmed royal fern, Osmunda regalis ‘Purpurascens’ unfurls coppery‑purple new fronds that mature to lush green, set atop striking purple‑tinged stipes. By early summer, clusters of cinnamon‑brown, fertile fronds appear, offering dramatic vertical interest.
