Calamagrostis × acutiflora - Overdam

A compact variegated feather reed grass boasting slender green leaves edged in creamy white, maintaining an elegant mound under 2 ft tall. In late spring to summer, upright airy plumes tinted pinkish-green rise to about 5 ft, maturing to tan and lingering through winter. This cool-season clumper thrives in full sun or light shade, adapts well to moist, clay, or average soils, and requires minimal care—ideal for rain gardens or mixed borders. Deer resistant and attractive to birds, it's a versatile and tidy structural addition.
