Hemerocallis - Frans Hals

A classic, dormant diploid daylily, ‘Frans Hals’ offers striking 4½–5½″ star-shaped bicolour blooms with fiery reddish-orange inner petals framed by yellow outer petals and pale yellow midribs. Its mid-to-late summer display brings vibrant color to the garden, although each individual flower blooms for just one day, the plant produces numerous buds for continuous show. Growing up to 24–32″ (60–80 cm) tall with a spread of 16–24″, its deciduous foliage forms tidy clumps ideal for mass plantings, borders, or containers. Highly resilient, this “perfect perennial” thrives in zones 2–9 with minimal care, tolerating heat, drought, and clay soils, and serves as a magnet for butterflies and hummingbirds while deterring rabbits
