Alcea rosea – Creme de Cassis

‘Crème de Cassis’ is a dramatic hollyhock (Alcea rosea) cultivar that bears towering spires of wine-to-raspberry blooms softly edged in pale pink or white. The flowers may appear in single, semi-double, and double forms along the same stem, giving varied texture and visual interest. Rising on strong, upright stems, it creates a striking vertical accent in cottage borders, against fences, or at the back of beds. This variety is also noted for being deer resistant and is a magnet for pollinators like bees and butterflies.
