Hosta - Albomarginata

A charming shade-loving perennial, Hosta ‘Albomarginata’ (also known as H. undulata ‘Albo Marginata’) sports medium green leaves edged with clean white margins that create a striking wavy-variegated pattern. The foliage emerges in spring and brightens dark corners with its crisp contrast before midsummer brings tall scapes bearing pale lavender, trumpet-shaped flowers that attract hummingbirds and bees. This cultivar forms a substantial mound roughly 18–24″ (45–60 cm) wide and 12–18″ (30–45 cm) tall, thriving in moist, well-drained soils in part to full shade. Hardy from USDA zones 3 to 9, it’s a low-maintenance landscape staple that uplifts woodland gardens, borders, or container plantings while offering seasonal elegance.
