Hosta – Blue Ivory

A refined shade perennial, Hosta ‘Blue Ivory’ (PP19,623) features thick, heart-shaped glossy blue-green leaves edged with broad creamy-white margins that become purer white through summer. Forming a neat mound approximately 12–16″ (30–40 cm) tall and 24–30″ (60–75 cm) wide, it offers compact elegance ideal for containers or shaded borders. In mid-summer (July–August), sturdy scapes rise to around 20–24″ (50–60 cm) bearing delicate pale lavender bell flowers that attract hummingbirds. Hardy and low-maintenance in zones 3–9, this sport of ‘Halcyon’ also offers better slug resistance thanks to its thick foliage.
