Hosta – Krossa Regal

A striking, award-winning giant among hostas, ‘Krossa Regal’ stands out with its frosty blue-green leaves shaped in a graceful vase form—delivering both bold structure and elegant texture to shaded landscapes. Its thick, deeply veined foliage rises upright, creating a dramatic statement ideal as a specimen or background anchor. In mid to late summer, this hosta sends up exceptionally tall scapes—often reaching 4 to 6 ft (120–180 cm)—crowned with pale lavender, trumpet-shaped flowers that attract hummingbirds and pollinators alik. Notably, ‘Krossa Regal’ earned the prestigious Royal Horticultural Society Award of Garden Merit in 1993.
