Hepatica acutiloba - Liver Leaf

A delicate, native spring ephemeral, Sharp‑lobed hepatica offers charming early blooms in shades of white, pink, lavender, or blue atop hairy stems rising just 10–15 cm. They open before woodland canopy forms, creating a beautiful carpet of color once winter fades. The leathery, three‑lobed leaves emerge mottled and evergreen, turning russet in autumn—adding seasonal interest through winter. Ideal for naturalizing in shade gardens, rockeries, or woodland borders, it thrives in humus‑rich, well‑drained soils.
