Anemone tomentosa - Robustissima

Anemone tomentosa ‘Robustissima’—commonly called Grapeleaf Windflower—is a vigorous, spreading perennial showing dozens of soft-pink, cup-shaped blooms atop wiry reddish stems in late summer to fall. Beneath the flowers, lush, grape-like green foliage forms a substantial mound that transitions into curious fluffy seedheads in winter. Rising to 90–120 cm (3–4 ft) and spreading 60–90 cm (2–3 ft), it thrives in moist, well-drained, rich soil under full sun to part shade. Deer- and rabbit-resistant and adored by butterflies and bees, this hardy plant adds long-lasting elegance and naturalistic structure to borders or woodland gardens.
