Hosta – Great Expectations
Hosta sieboldiana ‘Great Expectations’ is an elegant sport of ‘Elegans’ celebrated for its exceptionally bold variegated foliage. Leaves emerge chartreuse-gold in spring, gradually fading to creamy white, and are framed by wide, irregular blue-green margins streaked toward the center. Thick, puckered, heart-shaped leaves form a sturdy, upright mound ideal for shade gardens. In early to midsummer, tall scapes rise above the foliage, bearing fragrant near‑white bell‑shaped flowers that attract hummingbirds and pollinators.
