Phlox paniculata - Starfire

This striking garden phlox, Starfire, dazzles with vivid cherry-red, fragrant flower clusters perched atop upright stems, offering long-lasting blooms from mid-summer into early fall. The deep burgundy-bronze foliage adds dramatic contrast, making it a standout in both borders and containers, and it’s especially beloved in cutting gardens. Awarded the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit, Starfire is also notably mildew resistant—unusual among tall phlox—and attracts butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees. With its robust performance and repeat blooming habit after deadheading, it brings both beauty and resilience to the garden.
