Veronica spicata – Royal Candles
A compact, clump-forming spike speedwell, ‘Royal Candles’ features dense, lance-shaped deep green foliage crowned by slender spikes of striking deep violet-blue flowers that bloom from early to midsummer and often rebloom into late summer. Growing to a tidy 8–12″ (20–30 cm) both tall and wide, it’s ideal for borders, rock gardens, containers, or as a vibrant edging plant. Thriving in full sun to light shade and adaptable to average, moist yet well-drained soils, this low-maintenance perennial is deer‑ and rabbit‑resistant and attracts butterflies and hummingbirds.
