Papaver orientale - Harvest Moon

Papaver orientale ‘Harvest Moon’ is a radiant addition to any garden, flaunting vibrant, deep orange, double blooms that glow like tangerine moons amid late spring and early summer landscapes. These cup-shaped flowers rest atop tall, bristly stems and are complemented by soft, gray-green, finely divided foliage, lending an airy texture to garden beds. Following bloom, striking black seed pods remain, extending garden interest well into the season. Hardy, low-maintenance, deer-resistant, and loved by pollinators, ‘Harvest Moon’ also performs beautifully as a cut flower—especially when stems are singed before placing in water.
