SUMMER BEARING RASPBERRIES - BOYNE
This classic summer‑bearing red raspberry, developed in Canada, is prized for its reliability in cool climates and early harvest. The Boyne produces medium‑sized, deep‑red berries with a sweet, slightly aromatic flavour that shines both fresh and preserved. Hardy to very low temperatures (down to at least USDA Zone 3) and resistant to root rot and RBDV (raspberry bushy dwarf virus), it’s a strong choice for home growers. The upright canes are stocky and often don’t require heavy trellising, making it ideal for garden patches on Vancouver Island.
