Gardener's Note: Sow seeds directly out-doors in early spring, in average garden soil, as soon as soil can be worked. Mix seeds with sand and spread over area or space seeds several inches apart. Keep moist until seedlings appear. Thin to recommended spacing. In mild winter climates, plant in fall for spring bloom. Poppies tolerate dry climates but bloom longer if watered regularly. Plants may reseed for blooms the following year.
