Eryngium planum - Blue Hobbit

A petite, dwarf sea holly that packs a punch, Blue Hobbit features spiky, egg-shaped blooms in steel‑blue to purplish tones held aloft on silvery-blue stems. Reaching just 8–12 in (20–30 cm) tall, it forms a tidy mound of deeply toothed, blue‑green basal foliage—perfect for the front of borders or containers. Blossoming from early to late summer, its long-lasting thistle-like flowers are excellent for both fresh and dried arrangements and are highly attractive to butterflies. Exceptionally hardy and drought-tolerant, this cultivar is deer- and rabbit-resistant, thriving in dry, well-drained soils under full sun.
