Cosmos bipinnatus
Stunning 5-7cm (2-3") wide bicoloured flowers striped purple, red and white fill these dwarf, nicely compact 60cm (24") high plants. Cosmo's flowers are highlighted by finely cut light green foliage. This cosmos is an early bloomer that once it starts, goes all summer long! A butterfly favorite.

How to Grow
It is preferable to direct seed cosmos in the garden although one can start them inside if desired 4 weeks before planting them out. Choose a sunny site with well drained soil and sow the seeds 3-6mm (1-8-1/4") deep in mid to late May. Thin to 30-40cm (12-16") apart when the seedlings are 5-8cm (2-3") tall.
