Yellow Trillium - Trillium luteum

Brighten shaded woodland gardens with Trillium luteum, commonly called Yellow Trillium or Wood Lily. This graceful spring bloomer showcases lemon‑scented, canary yellow, sessile flowers rising directly from a whorl of three deeply mottled leaves (often silvery‑green on dark green). Blooming in mid to late spring (April–May), plants reach about 30–40 cm (12–16 in) tall and spread slowly into clumps 30–45 cm (12–18 in) wide. A low‑maintenance delight that thrives in rich, humusy, well‑drained soil under partial to full shade and is deer‑resistant thanks to its unpalatable qualities.
