Allium โPinball Wizardโ has a large spherical head made up of many small silvery purple star-shaped florets that will light up your garden with floral fireworks! This variety is similar to allium โGlobemasterโ but is shorter than it by about 10โ, though it is just as dazzling. โPinball Wizardโ grows to a height of about 24โ with blooms measuring between 6 to 8โ in diameter. Plant in autumn (Sept-Dec) for spring (May - June) bloom boom. Plant bulbs 6โ deep and with approximately 12โ of space between each one. Loves rich soil and full sun, but can tolerate partial shade. Does not require much water although it should be planted in well-draining soil. Be cautioned that alliums are poisonous if eaten by your pets. โPinball Wizardโsโ seed heads remain attractive long after the flowers fade, but since it is a perennial you can anticipate its return year after year!
