Astilbe japonica – Delft Lace

A graceful Japanese astilbe hybrid with glossy, blue-green lacy foliage edged in silvery highlights and striking wine-red stems. In early summer, deep pink buds open to reveal airy, feathery plumes in soft apricot-pink, creating a romantic, lace-like display that lasts for weeks. It forms a compact, clump-forming mound about 60–90 cm tall and 30–60 cm wide—ideal for woodland borders, containers, or pond edges. Thrives in moist, humus-rich soil under partial to full shade, and is both deer- and rabbit-resistant while attracting bees and butterflies for pollinator interest.

  • 1 growing root per pack, 2-3 eyes
  • Apricot-pink plumes
  • Deer & rabbit resistant
  • Attracts pollinators
  • Excellent for cutting
