Chinese Astilbe - Mighty Chocolate Cherry

Rich cherry-red flower plumes rise above velvety chocolate-brown foliage, creating a bold, dramatic presence in shaded gardens. This upright Chinese astilbe reaches 90–120 cm tall with a spread of about 50–60 cm, forming impressive clumps that shine mid to late summer. Its fragrant blooms on deep red stems add elegance, while the fern-like foliage transitions from rich bronze tones to green after flowering. A standout perennial for moist, part‑shade conditions, it’s low-maintenance, deer-resistant, and ideal for cutting.
