Blanket Flower - Burgundy

A bold and beautiful hybrid blanket flower, Gaillardia × grandiflora ‘Burgundy’ stands out with rich wine-red, daisy-like blooms roughly 3–4″ across, sometimes edged with a golden flush, held above compact mounds of grey-green foliage. This vigorous perennial reaches about 24–30 in (60–75 cm) tall and spreads to 24–30 in (60–75 cm), making it ideal for sunny borders, containers, or cut-flower displays. Thriving in full sun and well-drained soils—including poor, sandy, or rocky—‘Burgundy’ blooms from early summer through fall, tolerates heat and drought, and resists deer and rabbits. Nectar-rich and long-blooming, it also draws pollinators like butterflies and goldfinches.
