Brunnera – Jack Frost

A striking shade-loving perennial, ‘Jack Frost’ features heart-shaped leaves bathed in a silvery-white frost bisected by dark green veins and margins, creating a delicate "crackled porcelain" effect. In mid-spring, airy sprays of tiny sky-blue, forget-me-not-like flowers appear above the foliage, providing elegant seasonal contrast. This compact clumping plant grows about 12–15″ (30–38 cm) tall and spreads 12–20″ (30–50 cm) wide, thriving in moist, humus-rich soils under light shade—or even tolerating morning sun if well watered. Hardy, low-maintenance, and resistant to deer and rabbits, it makes an excellent specimen, edging plant, or groundcover for woodland and cottage gardens.
