GREENLEAF - CANNA LILY

Canna ‘Richard Wallace’ is a new variety of Canna characterized by its dark burgundy-black leaves that hold the foliage color well through summer. The flowers, which appear in racemes atop burgundy-black stems from mid-summer to fall, are bright yellow and measure up to 3 inches across. This plant is a reliable bloomer, producing flowers from early summer through fall. It is best grown in moist, organically rich, well-drained soils in full sun. Canna ‘Richard Wallace’ is a tender perennial that is only hardy to zones 7-10. Therefore, in cooler areas, its bulb will have to be dug up before the first frost and stored indoors over the winter in a dry place before being replanted in spring. Cannas are largely free of pests but in the USA, special care has to be provided to protect their leaves from the damage eventually caused by the Canna Leaf Roller.

  • Lush tropical plants with thick leaves that produce masses of long-lasting blooms.
  • Great for Containers & Mixed Borders.
  • Not winter hardy – Dig in the fall and store in a frost-free area.
  • Deer Resistant.
