Centaurea - montana Blue

A clump-forming perennial beloved for its profuse, spidery, fringed flowers in vivid cornflower-blue with deep red-purple centers. It typically grows 18–24" high and wide, making it perfect for cottage gardens, rockeries, or naturalized beds. Blooming in late spring through early summer—and occasionally reblooming—its long-lasting blooms are excellent for cutting and highly attractive to bees and butterflies. Extremely hardy (zones 3–8), drought- and deer-tolerant, it’s low-maintenance and might self-seed or spread by stolons in rich soil.
