Delicate silky flowers in a wide range of shimmering colors are held high on slender stems. Very early to flower and tolerant of drought as well as light shade. the reseed themselves in mild climates.

Gardener's Notes: Sow seeds outdoors in early spring, in average garden soil, as soon as soil can be worked. Mix seeds with sand and spread over area or space seeds 3-4 inches apart. Keep moist until seedlings appear. Thin to recommended spacing. In warm climates, plant in fall for spring bloom. Poppies tolerate dry conditions but bloom longer if watered regularly. Plants may reseed for bloom the following year.
