Athyrium filix-femina – Vernoniae Cristatum

‘Vernoniae Cristatum’ is a crested form of the classic lady fern, distinguished by its delicate, feathery fronds terminating in subtle tasselled or crested tips. This cultivar forms a tidy, upright clump of soft green foliage, ideal for adding refined texture to shady garden corners or woodland settings. Though ferny in nature, it holds good structure and does not aggressively spread, making it a manageable choice for moist, sheltered areas. It brings Victorian charm to modern gardens with its intricate detail and graceful habit.
