Gardener's Notes: Plant directly into rich soil in full sun in spring only when nights reach 55F (13C). Sow in groups of 5-6 seeds 4 inches apart in hills 2 ft apart. Carefully thin seedlings to leave 3 plants per hill. Water cukes evenly and consistently for sweet tasting fruits. Tie vines onto vertical supports for easy picking. Harvest cukes regularly to encourage production by cutting, not pulling from the vines.
