Portulaca grandiflora
Great as edging or as an accent in pots, these hardy plants bloom profusely all season with sunny-bright, double flowers. Leaves store water, making them drought tolerant and a good choice for low maintenance areas. Ideal for hot, dry locations. Ht. 6 in.

Gardener's Notes: Sow seeds in spring after the last frost. Grows best in sandy, well-drained, poor to average soil. Mix seeds with sand and spread over area or space seeds 2-3 inches apart. Do not cover seeds. Keep moist until seedlings appear. Thin to recommended spacing. Moss roses grow well in dry conditions but may need watering during extended dry weather. Plants often reseed for bloom the following year.
