Evening scented Nicotiana grows well in the sun, but can tolerate light shade in the afternoon. Hummingbirds flock to these tubular flowers that flair into five-pointed stars. Free blooming; great cut flower for bouquets.
Gardener's Note: After danger of frost is over in spring, sow these tiny seeds thinly over a fine textured, well worked garden bed in a sunny spot. be patient, as the seedlings emerge slowly over 2-3 weeks. Weed and water young seedlings carefully. Be sure to thin to a final spacing of 8 to 10 inches apart before plants get too crowded. Prune back stalks of spent flowers to encourage reblooming.
