Gardener's Notes: Grows best in warm weather. Start seed indoors 6-8 weeks before last spring frost. Grow in sunny window or under plant lights. Before planting in garden, acclimate seedlings to outdoor conditions over several days. Transplant into fertile, well-drained soil when temperatures stay above 60 degrees Fahrenheit. Stake or cage plants when small. Water regularly when fruits appear. Pick when fully red and slightly soft.
