Dark, dramatic, and endlessly striking, Dahlia ‘Rip City’ features rich burgundy to near‑black blooms with wavy, slightly nodding petals that fade toward maroon edges. Its informal decorative form adds texture and motion, while strong stems allow the flowers to shine as cut blooms or garden accents. Plants typically reach 90–120 cm (3–4 ft) in height and bloom from midsummer through frost, making ‘Rip City’ a standout for dramatic contrast and garden impact. Packaging

Spring bulb orders will be shipped with wood shavings in the package to help insulate and protect the bulbs from the cold weather and movement during shipping. Wood shavings can be repurposed in the garden or composted upon receiving your order! 

Shipping Schedule

The shipment of your order will follow our approximate schedule found below where timing will be dependent on what is being shipped, your planting zone, and the current weather conditions for shipping.
