Echinacea purpurea - Doubledecker

A truly unique coneflower, Echinacea purpurea ‘Double Decker’ produces distinctive two-tiered blooms—long reflexed deep rose-pink petals surround a central cone, topped by a striking set of upward-facing shorter petals. Often blooming as a single layer in its first year, the second tier becomes more prominent in the second season, offering extended mid-to-late summer color and occasional blooms into fallThis upright, clump-forming perennial reaches 100 cm (40″) tall with a spread of 60–75 cm (24–30″), thriving in full sun to part shade on average to dry, well-drained soils. Resilient and low-maintenance, it’s deer- and drought-resistant, attracts butterflies, hummingbirds, and songbirds, and its tall stems are excellent for fresh and dried arrangements.
