Pennisetum orientale - Karley Rose

A refined and graceful ornamental fountain grass, ‘Karley Rose’ (a selection of Pennisetum orientale) features deep green, arching foliage forming upright clumps about 60–90 cm (24–36 in) tall and wide. From early summer through fall, it produces striking soft rose‑purple, bottlebrush plumes that glow especially when backlit and persist elegantly even into the winter months. Hardy to USDA Zones 5a–9, this cultivar is more cold-hardy than many oriental fountain grasses, drought-tolerant once established, and deer-resistant—making it ideal for specimen planting, borders, containers, or massed sweeps
