Echinops sphaerocephalus - Arctic Glow

A striking twist on traditional globe thistles, Echinops sphaerocephalus ‘Arctic Glow’ produces abundant golf-ball-sized, starry white flowers perched atop upright, reddish stems. These luminous orbs, set against silvery-green, deeply divided foliage, light up garden borders from mid to late summer into early fall. This vigorous, clump-forming perennial reaches 60–90 cm (24–36″) tall and wide, adding a sculptural, textural statement to mixed plantings and cut flower arrangements. Exceptionally low-maintenance, deer- and rabbit-resistant, and highly attractive to bees and butterflies, it also offers lasting interest when dried and self-seeds if left uncut.
