HARDY ORCHID - BLETILLA STRIATA

An easy‑to‑grow, hardy terrestrial orchid, Bletilla striata enchants with delicate, orchid‑like blooms and elegant pleated foliage. In late spring to early summer it sends up slender spikes bearing soft pinkish‑purple (magenta‑lavender) flowers — each bloom resembling a miniature Cattleya orchid set above lush green, lance-shaped leaves. The plant grows in neat clumps and is ideal for part‑shade gardens, woodland borders, rock gardens or containers. Once established, it slowly spreads by underground rhizomes, offering recurring seasonal charm with minimal fuss.
