Hosta - Barbara Ann
Hosta ‘Barbara Ann’ is a dramatic shade-loving perennial featuring thick, puckered, blue-green leaves bordered by a broad creamy-white edge that matures to crisp white. This large sport of Hosta sieboldiana ‘Elegans’ forms a majestic mound about 20–30″ (50–75 cm) tall and up to 48″ (120 cm) wide, perfect as a bold focal plant. In midsummer, 24–40″ (60–100 cm) scapes rise above the foliage with clusters of near-white to pale lavender flowers that draw hummingbirds. Hardy, slug-resistant, and low-maintenance, it thrives in part to full shade with evenly moist soil, adding stunning contrast to woodland gardens or formal borders.
