Hosta - First Blush

Hosta ‘First Blush’ is a unique medium-sized hosta celebrated for green leaves that develop a remarkable red blush from the tips toward the base in spring, complemented by red petioles and thin red leaf margins. The red colouring can persist longer in cooler climates and with some morning sun before the foliage gradually returns to richer green tones later in the season. Lavender-purple flowers rise above the foliage in mid to late summer, adding contrasting colour and attracting bees. Growing approximately 30–35 cm (12–14 in.) tall, this distinctive hosta makes an eye-catching specimen for shaded borders, woodland gardens, and containers.
