Hosta – Whirlwind
A dramatic and award-winning variegated hosta, ‘Whirlwind’ is admired for foliage that evolves through the season: leaves emerge with creamy-white centers streaked or veined with green, later shifting to lime green and finally rich dark green by late summer. The heart‑shaped leaves are twisted, upright, and heavily textured, forming a dense mound with wide dark green margins that frame the changing centers. In mid to late summer, it produces lavender‑pale bell‑shaped blooms atop tall scapes, which attract pollinators and add height to the planting.
