Humulus lupulus - Nugget
Humulus lupulus ‘Nugget’ is a vigorous, fast-growing perennial hop prized for its lush, deeply lobed green foliage and aromatic, cone-like flowers. Greenish-yellow hop cones develop in summer, carrying a distinctive pine-like fragrance and adding ornamental interest to fences, arbours, pergolas, and tall trellises. This twining climber can reach approximately 6–8 m (20–26 ft.) in a single growing season before dying back to its perennial root system for winter. Hardy and adaptable, ‘Nugget’ performs best in full sun with moist, well-drained soil and sturdy support for its rapidly climbing stems.
